Marty Worthington peacefully breathed his soul into his Savior’s arms on February 28, 2024. He was born on Jan 19, 1960, in Donalsonville, GA to parents Willie Gene Worthington and Hattie Simpson Worthington. He grew up on the Cotton Patch Farm in Jackson County, FL and later moved to Greenwood, FL where he attended school. He loved animals with a passion and devoted much time and care for them. He pursued a career in Construction which took him to many States, eventually Mississippi where he lived at his passing.
Marty was predeceased by his beloved grandparents fondly known as Pap and Mama, his parents Gene and Hattie and nephew Cody Worthington.
He is survived by his big brother Greg (Sylvia) Worthington of Hamilton, GA and his little brother Jeff (Lisa) Worthington of Greenwood, FL, nephew Robby Worthington, nieces Kimberly Worthington and Kendra Miller, 5 precious great nieces and 3 great nephews and his loving Aunt Eunice Dozier of Gordon, AL.
A private memorial will be held at his childhood home in Florida.
Memorial tributes can be made to Queen City Nursing Center of Meridian, MS who provided much kindness and caring support to Marty’s end of earthly travels.
