Margaret Benton, 77 of Enterprise, Alabama died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Westside Terrace Healthcare.
She was born April 20, 1944 in Alford, Florida to Eddie Lee and Vermell Gay. She met James A. Benton on June 2, 1972. They were married August 30, 1974. Margaret worked primarily as a cosmetologist throughout her life. She loved God and her family. She enjoyed cooking and decorating her church for the holidays.
Margaret was preceded in death by both of her parents; and her brother, Eddie Lee Gay, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Benton; children, Carol Davis (Steve) and Sean Benton (Sue); five grandsons, Jordan Davis (Lauren), Jared Davis (Samantha), Jaxon Davis, Matt Benton (Kate), Jonathan Benton; and sister, Peggy Register (Buddy).
Graveside funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, July 23, 2021 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Richard Elligson officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Thursday, July 22, 2021 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
