Malone makes it three wins in a row with win over Houston County

The Malone Tigers liked the first two wins before Christmas break and set their sights on a third one as they traveled to Cottondale to participate in tournament play. The Tigers had no problem taking care of Houston County and picking up a 77-40 win to make it a trio on the week.
Malone took the first quarter 17-7 and never looked back. Ocasio Murff led the charge with six points for the Tigers. Malone found another gear in the second quarter, putting up 23 points with Houston County countering with 11. Zaccheus Daniels and Anario Ware led the Tigers with eight points each while Kaleb Wilson kicked in six points. Spencer Floyd and Jarrod Southwell brought the crowd to life with both making a shot from downtown. At the half. Malone was in control 40-18.
Malone didn’t let up with 20 points going on the big board for the third quarter while Houston County’s offense picked it up a notch with 12 points. Murff led the Tigers with eight points with Jermaine Powell right on his heels with seven points. The final quarter sealed the deal and the Tigers walked off with a huge 77-40 win.
It was Ocasio Murff leading the way for the Tigers with 16 points, followed by Anario Ware with 14 points. On board with 12 points was Jermaine Powell with Kaleb Wilson picking up 10 points and Zaccheus Daniels checking in with nine points.
