Lydia Ann Dykes, 82 passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born in Shady Grove, Florida on April 24, 1938 to Isaac Hugh Stone, Sr. and Elmira Waldorff Stone. She was a life-long resident of Jackson County, Florida. Ann was a member of the Sneads United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and working in the yard as well as cooking for her family. She also enjoyed visiting the beach and attending church when she was able. Ann will be missed but not forgotten.
Ann is survived by her children, Angela Fern, Aimee McCrystal, Margaret Lashley, and Richard Lashley; sisters, Patsy Sneads, Myra Shiver and Mary Jessen; a brother, John Stone (Alberta); a sister-in-law, Frances Stone as well as seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene E. W. Dykes; a brother, Isaac Hugh Stone; sister, Violet and a son, Howard Earl Lashley, Jr.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 beginning at 1:00 PM CST in Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Mike von Keyserling officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing.
