Linda Sue Nelson Scamihorn, 68, of Tallahassee Florida, passed away on December 18, 2022 after a 16 year fight with Dementia. Linda grew up in Sneads, FL and graduated from Sneads High School. She was a wonderful homemaker who devoted her life to her husband of 38 years, two children then her five grandchildren.

She was a resident of Jackson County for 45 years before moving to Tallahassee to be closer to her grandchildren. Linda was a lifelong FSU fan and believed Bobby Bowden hung the moon. She loved to fish. She fished her entire life and when her first grandbaby came along, she and him would sneak off to what she affectionately called their “Honey Hole.” She cooked the best fried chicken and brewed the tastiest, sweet tea. But her greatest accomplishment in life and what made her most proud were always her children. They could do no wrong in her eyes and she would have gone to the ends of the earth for the two of them.

Linda was predeceased by her mother, Sara Nelson. She is survived by her devoted husband Calvin Scamihorn, her son David Soule and her daughter Sarah Nichole Sims and husband, Bubba. Her father Franklin Nelson, brother William Nelson and sister Carol Sheffield from Sneads, FL. Her five grandchildren; David Patrick, Mack, Layla, Gavin and Taylor. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and loving relatives far and wide.

The viewing will be held Wednesday, December 28th at Beggs Funeral home on Appalachee Parkway from 5-7pm and the funeral will be held on December 29th at Beggs Funeral Home at 11am. The burial will be immediately after at The Tallahassee National Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Pastor Tommy Tennison. Please feel free to wear colorful clothes as she would love to brighten everyone’s spirit.
