• Leveling, grading and seeding/sodding of disturbed areas
All proposals must contain the contractor’s assurance to the City that the first structure will be demolished, cleaned up and seeded/sodded within the first six days after the award of the contract, at least one structure/property will be demolished, cleaned up, and seeded/sodded every five days thereafter until the project is completed. All permits are the responsibility of the contractor. The successful contractor shall make any and all necessary arrangements for the disconnection of both private and public utility services and obtain necessary utility line locates. In the event the successful contractor fails compliance, the bid will revert to the next lowest or best bidder.
Payments will be divided up and two payments will be made, but only after passing a complete inspection at each of four sites with the City retaining 10% until all work has been completed. Anyone wishing to bid can inspect the properties prior to bidding. All properties are marked with a stake and a number.
Bids will be opened and recorded at the City of Marianna City Commission Chambers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Fair Housing Notice and Workshop For Government Officials, Housing Professionals, Property Owners and the Public
The local government of the City of Marianna is dedicated to fair housing principles. Fair Housing is a concept that everyone has the right to obtain housing without discrimination. The above named jurisdiction officially adopted a Fair Housing Ordinance which prohibits discrimination in housing because of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, handicap and familial status. This ordinance covers most housing related activities such as real estate sale, advertising, bank transactions, mortgages, rentals and any similar activity which may deal with persons seeking housing.
The City of Marianna has developed an education program to inform residents and other appropriate persons regarding affordable and fair housing opportunities.

A Pre-Bid Conference for MANUFACTURED HOMES will be held on WEDNESDAY July 6, 2022, at 9:30am at the Jackson County Administration Office, Conference Room, located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida. Additionally, the following day, a Pre-Bid Conference for STICK BUILT HOMES will be held on THURSDAY July 7, 2022, at 9:30am at the Jackson County Administration Office, Meeting Hall/Board Room, located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida. We will not accept manufactured home bids for these properties.
Anyone not present at the 9:30am start time will not be allowed to participate. Bid packages will be given to only the principal signers of the contracting companies attending the pre-bid conference who arrive promptly. After a brief meeting at the Jackson County Administration Office, group mandatory walkthroughs for the properties will be held. Any contractor not remaining with the group and failing to be present at each property within 10 minutes of the group will not be permitted to bid. No contractor is permitted to view the property or contact the property owner individually without the presence of the remaining group of contractors and the HHRP Coordinator.

Jackson County School Board is extending an invitation to pre-qualified General Contractors for bids to perform all work associated with the Hope School HVAC Renovations, 2958 Cherokee St, Marianna, FL In general, the scope of work includes replacement of all HVAC systems, windows in 18 classrooms, and associated electrical and general trades as described in the construction documents.
Drawings and specifications will be available from Watford Engineering, Inc., 4452 Clinton St, Marianna, FL. A $100.00 deposit per set will be required payable to Watford Engineering, Inc. Deposit will be refunded upon return of complete usable sets within 2 weeks of bid date. Electronic documents shall be available at no charge.
Bids shall be a lump sum price; segregated bids will not be accepted.
All bids must be clearly marked with the Project Name and Bid Date and must be delivered to the Jackson County School Board Office, 2903 Jefferson Street, Marianna, FL 32446 prior to the Bid Opening which will be held at 2:00 PM Central Time on August 4, 2022, in Board Meeting Room. Bids will be opened and read aloud at that time.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall be held for all concerned parties on July 26, 2022, at Hope School at 10:00 AM Central Time in the Main Office. Notification of any changes in meeting time/date will be made only to listed plan holders.
