The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting proposals from registered, qualified firms to provide debt collection services for delinquent Jackson County Fire Rescue accounts. It is the intent of the County to select and negotiate one contract, to be renewed annually, with a firm that meets the requirements outlined in the RFP. All proposals must contain the contractor’s assurance to the City that the first structure will be demolished, cleaned up and seeded/sodded within the first six days after the award of the contract, at least one structure/property will be demolished, cleaned up, and seeded/sodded every five days thereafter until the project is completed. All permits are the responsibility of the contractor. The successful contractor shall make any and all necessary arrangements for the disconnection of both private and public utility services and obtain necessary utility line locates. In the event the successful contractor fails compliance, the bid will revert to the next lowest or best bidder.
Payments will be divided up and two payments will be made, but only after passing a complete inspection at each of four sites with the City retaining 10% until all work has been completed. Anyone wishing to bid can inspect the properties prior to bidding. All properties are marked with a stake and a number.
Bids will be opened and recorded at the City of Marianna City Commission Chambers at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
