The Town of Campbellton will be conducting a public meeting for the sole purpose of discussing plans to apply for funding through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program for Phase VI development of the Campbellton Area Recreational Complex (Saint Paul Memorial Park) in Campbellton, FL.  The plans will be included in the 2021-22 grant application cycle.  Public input is encouraged.  The meeting will be held at the Campbellton Community Center – 2236 Hwy. 2 – Campbellton, Fl on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 4:30PM local time.  The meeting will be held in a handicap accessible location.  Any persons requiring assistance such as an interpreter or TDD access, contact Helen Rhynes, City Clerk (850-263-4535) at least five days prior to meeting.  FAIR HOUSING/EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITY.

District 1 Chip Seal & Asphalt Paving Project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for District 1 Chip Seal or Asphalt Paving Project(Bid Chip Seal or Asphalt Option) of County owned and maintained roads in political District 1 in Jackson County, FL will be received by Jackson County Board of County Commissioners at the office of the Traci Taylor, Purchasing Agent located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Monday September 28, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read. The project consists of the grading, installing road base, chip seal, and grassing of selected roadways. Each road as an alternate bid proposal for the pricing of placing asphalt pavement instead of chip seal.

Bidders will be required to attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. local time, to give the opportunity to ask questions of the Owner. This meeting will be a call-in, the call-in number will be provided in an addendum to all bid package holders.

A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder.

A Bid Bond payable to Jackson County for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond to be prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida.

All contractors and their subcontractors shall be FDOT prequalified in the work classes of drainage, flexible paving, grading, and hot plant–mixed bitum. courses. Bidders may be required to submit detailed information regarding the staff that they propose for this project. The Contractor shall be capable of meeting all the requirements of the specifications at the time of the bid.

Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered.

No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids.
