NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Town of Alford will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Alford Community Center located at 2562 Park Avenue, Alford, FL.  This public hearing will be held to consider adoption of the following ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF ALFORD, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTION BY THE REGISTERED VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF ALFORD, TO DETERMINE IF THE CHARTER OF ALFORD SHALL BE AMENDED, PROVIDING AN ELECTION DATE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE:

Interested parties are encouraged to attend this meeting.  A draft of the proposed ordinance is on file for review during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) in the office of the Town Clerk, 1768 Georgia St., Alford, FL.  Persons wishing to comment may do so in person at the public hearing or in writing to the Town of Alford.

If a person desires to appeal a decision made by the Town Council with respect to any matter, that person will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is made.
