ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Malone Water System Improvements 2016 will be received, by the Town of Malone, at the office of the Malone Town Hall, 5182 9th Ave, until 1:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The project consists of constructing the installation of approximately 3,000 LF of Water Main, with Fire Hydrants, valves, fittings, appurtenances along with 300 LF of directional bores.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternative bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Building Documents is: David H. Melvin, Inc, Consulting Engineers, 4428 Lafayette Street, Marianna, FL 32447. Contact: Marc Tomlinson, Project Manager at 850-482-3045 or [email protected]. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am-4pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available on compact disc (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $80.00, including shipping via overnight express service. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $80.00 per set, payable to “David H. Melvin, Inc., Consulting Engineers”, plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form and subject to conditions provided in the information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable according to the Department of Treasury Circular 750.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
