NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Council of The Town of Grand Ridge, Florida will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed Ordinance to be titled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GRAND RIDGE, FLORIDA; AMENDING THE TOWN OF GRAND RIDGE, FLORIDA LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING ARTICLE IV, SECTION 4-2.2, ACCESSORY LAND USES AND STRUCTURES, SUBSECTION 5. The passage of the proposed Ordinance will be considered by the Town Council, at a public hearing to be held at 6:00 P.M, C.S.T., on Thursday, the 8th day of August, 2024, at Grand Ridge Multi-Purpose Building, located at 6910 Hall Street, Grand Ridge, Florida 32442. The Town Council will hold their regularly scheduled council meeting immediately following this public hearing for adoption of the Ordinance and such other business as may be necessary.

TYPE OF BID

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after time has been called on the date of opening. A Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid must accompany bids and a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required of the successful bidder.

TIME OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION
The time limit for substantial completion of this work will be 365 calendar days from the Date of Commencement.

The City of Marianna, Florida (City), is seeking statement of qualifications and proposals from qualified firms (Developer) for the opportunity to develop and maintain City-owned property at 4423 Constitution Lane, Marianna, FL 32448 (Parcel ID: 03-4N-10-0079-0000-0040). The City’s desire is to convert this building into a use that enhances the viability of downtown Marianna as a place to live, work, and an entertainment destination. The selected developer will recommend programs for the building’s use and operation, enter into a development agreement with the City to execute a development plan in line with the developer’s proposed use, and enter into a five-year lease with the City to implement an operational plan to ensure successful activation and stabilization.
The building was constructed around 1920 for the Porter Carroll Hardware Company and contains approximately 22,200 square feet, equally divided among three floors. The building served as Marianna Office Supply until damaged by Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The City has purchased the building and has funding available to assist with the renovation of the building.
