Old Cottondale Road – Roadway Improvement & Water System Improvements

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Old Cottondale Road – Roadway Improvement & Water System Improvements will be received by the City of Marianna at the office of the City Clerk located at 2898 Green Street, Marianna, FL, until 2:00 p.m. local time on March 29, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.  The Project consists of approximately 3,377 SY of milling, 833 tons of asphalt pavement, 2,068 LF of curb and gutter, 1,062 SY of concrete sidewalk and driveways, and 3,354 LF of water main with associated back fill, valves, 8 fire hydrants, and 27 services. The project also includes the abandonment of the existing water main.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for Litter Removal Contract for County Rights-of-Way in Jackson County, FL will be received by Jackson County Board of County Commissioners at the office of the Jackson County Purchasing Agent located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL 32448, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday March 16, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.

Contract Description: Provide pickup, removal, and disposal of litter within the maintained limits of County road rights-of-way over (+/- 1,045 miles). Proposed one-year    contract with the owner option of 2nd and 3rd year renewal.

Bidders will be required to attend a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time, to give the opportunity to ask questions of the Owner. This meeting will be in person at the Jackson County Emergency Operations Center located at 2819 Panhandle Road, Marianna, FL 32446.

The Bid Bond to be prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida.

All contractors and their subcontractors shall have adequate references showing performance of this type of work. Bidders may be required to submit detailed information regarding the staff that they propose for this project. The Contractor shall be capable of meeting all the requirements of the specifications at the time of the bid.

Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in this type of work and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered.

No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids
