Larry Burton “Burt” Register, 54, of Greensboro, Florida passed away on May 25, 2020. He was born on December 18, 1965 to William and Janice Register in Columbus, Georgia. Burt was a member of the Greensboro United Methodist Church. He was also a member and past president of the Greensboro Kiwanis Club. Burt enjoyed collecting antiques and shared that passion with his mother in law. He loved to cook, grill, watch movies, and add to his collection of guns and knives, but most of all, he loved his wife of 15 years, Melissa. She was his sunshine on a rainy day. Burt was looking forward to another trip on Grand Daddy’s fishing boat, the same one that he used to go fishing in when he was a young boy. Burt had a few more loves in his life, and that was all his little fur babies. These babies loved him back and were not afraid of his size 15EEEE boots clomping all around them. He was the definition of a “Gentle Giant” and he has touched the lives of many people. Burt will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Survivors include his precious wife of 15 years, Melissa Holloway Register; his mother, Janice Register; two daughters, Kathryn Frances Register and Samantha Layne Register; one brother, William Blake Register (Ceilia); two nieces, Alyssa and Mikayla Register; mother-in-law, Phyllis Holloway; brother-in-law, Mark Holloway (Tina) and other extended family members.
Burt was preceded in death by his father, William R. Register.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 beginning at 11:30 AM Eastern Time at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Chattahoochee, FL with Dr. Gene Strickland officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing.
