The Marianna Lady Bulldogs are dead even with a 3-3 record as they break for Thanksgiving. And they will take that record because they know all too well, things just get better.
Monday (11/18/2019) the Lady Dogs had their home opener against Walton and the home field was just what the doctor ordered. Marianna took the 3-0 shutout to pick up their second win of the season. Tuesday, they made the trip to Tallahassee to face off against an ever-tough Florida High team and left with a 2-0 loss. The Lady Dogs ended their week on a positive note with a defensive battle and a 1-0 win before the home crowd.

Marianna ends week with a 1-0 defensive battle
Marianna’s defense showed up and showed out Thursday night before an eager home crowd looking for a win. The Lady Bulldogs took the field and defense became the name of the game for both teams.
When all was said and done, it took just one goal to declare the victor in the game. That goal came off the foot of Willa Wester and was both the first goal scored and the winning goal.
Abigail Callahan did her job in the box with excellent help from Jade Hendrix who tried her hand at defense and saw she had that part of the game mastered also. First-year coach Brooke Ferrell said of her team, “The whole defense was awesome tonight.”
