Kyle Kenneth Brooks, age 80, passed away Friday September 22, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. Kyle was born in Mobile Alabama to W. Arthur and Esther B Brooks, the family then moved to Andalusia, Alabama and then to Panama City, FL where he spent the remainder of his childhood. Kyle served his country in the Army, then went on to manage Winn Dixie stores for several years before becoming Owner/Operator of Brooks Bait & Tackle for 37 years in Callaway, FL. His passion was tournament bass fishing thru multiple clubs and National Trails, with many successful winnings. He loved spending time with his family and giving back to his community. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice King Brooks; Father, W. Arthur Brooks; Mother, Esther B Faye Brooks; Sister, Dean Seigel; Grandson, Dakota Brooks; Great Granddaughter, Payton Pettis. He is survived by his son, Hays(Melanie) Brooks of North Augusta, SC; son, Stephen(Kayla) Brooks of Chipley, FL; son Bobby Adams of Fountain, FL; daughter, Lisa(Charlie) Pettis of Wewahitchka, FL; brother, Dwayne(Robbie) Brooks of Millville, FL; brother, Donnie Brooks of Hiland Park, FL; brother, Ronnie Brooks of Hiland Park, FL; grandchildren, Kaden Brooks, Chesley Brooks, Xander Brooks, Xavian Brooks, Tiffany(Aaron) Brock, Krystal Pettis, Chelsey(Kenny) Ardire; great grandchildren, Keersten Easter, Kylee Easter, Zander Ardire, Madi Brock, Graci Brock, Gunner Brock, and Corbin Ardire; nephew, Kenneth(Carrie) Brooks of Hiland Park, FL; niece, LaReina(Jason) Ammons of Millville, Fl; nephew, Rodney(Aimee) Brooks of Lynn Haven, FL; niece Dorinda(Randy) Mueller of Alton Illinois; niece, Cheryl Siegel of Tallahassee, FL and multiple great nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM CST at Glad Tidings Church in Wewahitchka, FL. Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10 AM CST at Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka, FL with Pastor Joey Smith officiating. All Arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
