Johnnie N. Lipford, 81, of Greenwood died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Jackson Hospital.
She loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, always making sure everyone had plenty of snacks. She loved cooking and canning, visiting with friends and family as well as feeding her birds and squirrels.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, John Mansfield and Elizabeth Breatice West Rhodes; sisters, Betty Anne Ducker and Doris Jackson; and daughter Rhonda Kay Welch.
She was survived by her sons, Steve Welch (Gwen) of Greenwood, FL; Roger Welch (Brenda) of Malone, FL and Roland Welch of Greenwood, FL; daughter, Sandra Hughes (Cary) of Gordon, AL; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM, Monday, October 26, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Bascom with Revs. Steve Welch & Steven Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Cemetery in Malone with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at 9 AM, one hour prior to service.
