John Wesley Jenkins, 79 of Graceville, Florida joined his beloved wife, Debbie, in their eternal home on May 4, 2023.
John Wesley was born in Graceville, Florida on August 6, 1942, to the late Roswell and Nancy Hayes Jenkins. A 1963 graduate of Campbellton High School, he married the love of his life on March 2, 1964, and was blessed with two loving and devoted children, Lisa and Eric. He was a long-distance truck driver for M & P Trucking for many years. John Wesley was a member of Harvest Church in Dothan. He lived life, pedal to the metal and enjoyed every moment!
He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie on February 16, 2023, his parents and one sister Sarah Frances Ward.
He is survived by one daughter Lisa Ann Williams (Tommy), one son John Eric Jenkins (Kelley), two granddaughters Carly Ann Dykes (Hillary), Sydney Michelle Jenkins, one great granddaughter Landry Helen Dykes, one sister Aletha Womack (Morris) and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be 1 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2023, at Springhill United Methodist Church with Tony Payne officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at the church 12:30 until time of service.
Flowers will be accepted or for those wishing memorials can be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Dothan, Alabama or Partners for Pets in Marianna, Florida.
