John Allen “AK” Kinard, a treasured soul known for his zest for life and his unwavering love for family, left this world for a more peaceful realm on February 23, 2024, at the age of 61, in Grand Ridge, Florida. Born on January 23, 1963, in Panama City, Florida, to Allen Kenneth Kinard and Kathleen B. Arnold, who predeceased him along with his stepmother, Beverly Kinard, John grew from a spirited young boy into a man of integrity and charisma.
A proud 1981 graduate of Sneads High School, John’s life was a testament to hard work and dedication. After high school, he explored various jobs but found his true calling after enlisting in the Army. His military service was marked by a strong sense of duty and honor—a trait that he carried throughout his life. Transitioning to civilian life, John served the community as a valued employee of the Florida Department of Corrections for eight years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate a motorcycle shop, which combined his passion for bikes with his unparalleled people skills.
John’s inclination towards artistry and self-expression eventually steered him to seize his dream of owning a Tattoo Studio, first in Chattahoochee, FL, and later expanding his creative touch to Wisconsin. The ink may have been his medium, but the relationships he cultivated with each person who walked through his doors were his true masterpieces.
Known to his many friends and family simply as “AK,” John’s presence was magnetic. He had a way of making everyone around him feel both cherished and important. Beyond his professional endeavors, John’s joie de vivre was most evident when aboard his beloved motorcycle, with the wind in his hair and the sun on his face. A member of the Moose Lodge, he nurtured a community where laughter and camaraderie were always in abundant supply.
John was a family man at his core. His love for his wife of 18 years, Donna M. Kinard, shone brightly, casting warmth and light on all the years they shared. His lineage, marked by love and laughter, includes his children: William “Billy” Kinard (Brantley), Michael Kinard (Leah), Jesse Littlejohn (Christina), Jeremy Littlejohn (Bobbie Jo), Nikita Littlejohn-Wilear (Travis), and Tiffany Littlejohn (Connor). John’s sister, Rebecca Kinard, shared in the family’s strength and closeness. His legacy further thrives through his 17 grandchildren, with the excited anticipation of one more on the way, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
An ardent supporter of his grandchildren’s endeavors, John never missed a chance to cheer them on at ballgames, revel in their accomplishments, and instill in them the values he held dear. His ability to craft beauty from wood paralleled his craftsmanship with relationships—both sculpted with love, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment.
