Jimmy Earl Baxley, age 63, of Marianna, FL., passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at his residence.
Jimmy was born on November 14, 1958 to Johnny Baxley and Marie Palmer in Dothan, AL. Jimmy married his wife, Cathy, in 1997 in Jackson County where they lived their lives together. His passion was fencing and was the owner and operator of Marianna Fence. He adored spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jimmy also enjoyed fishing, watching car racing, and working on lawn mowers. He attended the First Baptist Church of Cottondale and is now in the presence of Jesus.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Baxley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cathy Baxley of Marianna, FL; his mother, Marie Parmer Baxley of Marianna, FL; his children, Jeffrey Baxley and wife, Felicia of Kynesville, FL; Jennifer Long and husband Cody of Chipley, FL; Heather Spurlock of Tallahassee, FL; and Crystal Spurlock of Marianna, FL; his brothers, Billy Baxley and wife, Janet of Marianna, FL; Johnny Baxley and wife, Gale of Marianna, FL; and his sister, Barbara Kent of Columbus, GA. He will also be missed by his precious grandchildren, Keira Hilliard, Kaylin Alteri, Kinsley Long, Cecilia Baxley, Oliver Self, and Lena Self.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Cottondale First Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Brock officiating. Interment will follow in Cottondale First Baptist Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at Cottondale First Baptist Church.
