Jerry Arthur McKinnie, age 78, of Grand Ridge, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Jackson Hospital. He was born February 29, 1944, in Sneads, FL to Brady and Maggie McKinnie. If anyone knew him, they would know how much he liked to talk about sports and how much he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Anna McKinnie; his father, Brady McKinnie and mother, Maggie McKinnie; brothers, Brady McKinnie Jr and Maxwell Ryals McKinnie; sisters, Essie Baxter and husband, Coy, Tessie Poole and husband, David, Margaret Robbirds and husband, Woody.
Jerry is survived by sons, Glenn McKinnie of Grand Ridge, FL, Warren McKinnie (Kathy) of Oviedo, FL; God Sent Daughters, Dwanna Davis of Bascom, FL, Kristie Rabon (Kenny) of Grand Ridge, FL; grandchildren, Gabby, Sidna, Mikaelin, Shayla, Gavin, and Chaison; special niece and nephew, Fred and Vikki; brother-in-law; Anthony DelGrego (Evelyn) of Hamden, CT; sister-in-law, Elizabeth McKinnie; brother, Oscar McKinnie (Katie); sister, Shirley Hare; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Rev. Steven Subel officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Interment will follow at Salem Wesleyan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Welcome Assembly of God Church.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to Welcome Assembly of God.
