Jeff Edward Strickland, age 74, of Altha, FL, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.
Jeff was born March 1, 1948 in Brunswick, GA and was the son of the late Jeff and Helen Johnson Strickland. He was drafted into the U.S. Army out of High School and served in the Vietnam War. In 1974, Jeff moved to Marianna, FL and worked for the City of Marianna. He met his soulmate, Donna, in Marianna and they later married, moving to Altha, FL where they lived on the family property. Jeff loved to fish, farm, and spend time with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jeff is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna; step children, Benjamin Bruner of Dothan, AL, Raymond Bruner of Marianna, William Bruner of Calhoun County, Teresa Kent and husband, Kenneth of Marianna, Kevin Banasiak and Starla Bruner of Altha, FL; brothers, Robert, Sam, and Richard Strickland; sisters, Kathy, Nancy, and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Brayden Weeks, Payten Bruner, Steven and Josh Bruner, Jessica and Ashley Banasiak, Christian, and Aleia Kent; great grandchildren, Noah, Owen, and Ashley.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha, FL with Reverend Rhul Edenfield officiating and Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Army.
