JCSB adopts new calendar

The Jackson County School Board met in special session Tuesday afternoon to discuss the issue of masks at schools and the adoption of the new school calendar. Following the passing of the school masks, the Board was presented an undated calendar for review and approval.Superintendent of Schools Larry Moore presented the updated calendar for Board approval. The calendar will retain the previously scheduled breaks (Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break) with the addition of Memorial Day as a holiday. The students’ last day will move to Thursday, June 10 with the teachers’ last day Friday, June 11.
