Jerry Bryant Dale, 87, of Marianna, Florida died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his residence.
J. B. was born on June 3, 1934 in Lee, Florida to Alton and Lelon Dale. He lived most of his life in Marianna, Florida and worked as a foreman at National By Products Plant for 23 years. He then worked for the Florida Department of Tourism at the Welcome Center on the Florida/Alabama line.
Through all his life, J. B. loved the outdoors. In any spare time, he could be found fishing, hunting, working as a mechanic or carpenter. He attended church at RCC and loved having cookouts for friends, especially when it was a menu of fried fish. He loved his Lord and Savior and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Lelon Dale; wife, Sible Dale; son, Bryant Dale; brother, Frank Dale; sisters, Nora Holmes and Nadine Lamb.
J. B. is survived by his daughter, Fay Jean Dale; sister, Dora Fletcher; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2022 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
