Jane Bush Sangaree died on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at Jackson Hospital. She was born in Marianna on March 29, 1933 and graduated from Marianna High School in 1950. She attended Florida State University and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She married Charles Victor Sangaree on June 14, 1952 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where she was the longest living member. First and foremost she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother affectionately known as “Great” by her great grandchildren. She was a member of the Marianna Duplicate Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and George Daniel Bush, Jr. and her husband of 65 years Charles Victor Sangaree.
Jane is survived by her daughter Georganne Sangaree Sherrel and husband Dr. Joseph T. Sherrel, two grandsons Dr. Victor Thomas Sherrel and wife Sarah Kathryn of Pensacola, William Brooks Sherrel and wife Amber of St. Simmons, GA., one great grandson Owen Thomas Sherrel, and one great granddaughter Caroline Elizabeth Sherrel. She is also survived by her niece Jan Sangaree, nephew Steven Sangaree and wife Jeanie, and her cousin Tina Maura.
Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Parish Hall of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Marianna with a reception following the service.
