Ivey Champ Pridgen, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Tallahassee, FL surrounded by his family. Born September 24, 1944 in Horry County, South Carolina, to Allen and Bessie Pridgen, Ivey spent more than 30 years working all over the United States as an electrician for various companies. He was veteran of the United States Army and honorably served in Vietnam. Ivey enjoyed taking trips to Biloxi, Mississippi and spending precious time with family. He was a man of few words, but once he got to know someone there was not anything, he enjoyed better than an interesting conversation with them. Ivey will be missed but not forgotten.

Ivey is survived by the mother of his children and lifetime companion, Barbara Obert of Bainbridge, GA; one son, Dewey Pridgen of Chattahoochee, FL; two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Pridgen and Charles Richard Pridgen; two great grandchildren, Brantley Eric Pridgen and Callie Rae Pridgen.

He was predeceased by his parents and one daughter, Buffy Ann Pridgen.

A private family service will be held on a later date.
