Ms. Iris Irene Ross, age 87, passed away at her home in Sneads, FL on Thursday, February 10, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 14, 1934, in Basinger, FL to the late Lucille Kilpatrick Arnold and Rufus Arnold. Iris enjoyed life, family members and many friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others. Iris was a gentle and kind lady who loved her family and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved to fish, garden and the great outdoors. Iris enjoyed birdwatching and taking care of her family especially the little ones. She will be missed but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Earle Ross; a son, Earle A. Ross; and a brother, Nathan Arnold.
Iris is survived by her daughter, Karen Ross Hansen and her husband Dave of Micanopy, FL; two sisters, Kaye Brown and Faye Walden; one brother, Jake Arnold; two grandchildren, Carianne Ross (Jerel) and Rufus Ross (Brandi); six great grandchildren, Lyric, Loren, Marissa, Bailie, Emma and Harley all of Sneads, Florida.
Memorialization will be by cremation. No services are planned at this time.
