Infant Owen Matthew Broome, was delivered Friday, December 10, 2021 at Jackson Hospital and went home to be with the Lord.
Owen was greatly loved by all his family and will be dearly missed. His brothers gave him the nickname “Rocky” because of his “moves” and how active he was prior to being delivered. He was truly an Angel on earth and will always be considered a blessing.
Owen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Dianne Broome and Jewelene Wilson; great grandmother, Irene Monday; and great uncle, Chris Monday.
He is survived by his parents, Samantha E. Thomas of Alford and Wade Broome of Cottondale; brothers, Matthew Broome and Carson Alday; sister, Bailey Alday; grandparents, Deborah and Dennis Thomas of Alford; great aunt, Teresa Smith of Marianna, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at New Salem Baptist Church with Reverend Joey Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
