How to make your shed burglar proof

Shed doors are usually mounted in place with surface-mounted hinges. These hinges are nice, strong and easy to install.
The problem is they’re not that secure; even if you have a good padlock on the door, someone could just come with a wrench, take out the screws and pull the door right off.
The solution is to remove one screw from each hinge and replace it with a carriage bolt. A carriage bolt has a rounded head, and someone can’t use a wrench to take it off.
So, on the inside, you just put on a washer and nut and tighten it up. There’s no way someone could take that hinge off and bust into your shed.
