Hazel Rudd, age 87, of Quincy, FL passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, in Blountstown, FL. Hazel was born on June 18, 1936, in Chipley, FL. She worked in the fabric department at Walmart as well as the deli at Publix. Hazel enjoyed playing bingo, going to church, watching Western movies, listening to Blue Grass Gospel, and shopping at Walmart. Most of all, she truly loved her family. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Rudd, daughter, Shelia Maxwell, grandson, Levi Rudd, and daughter-in-law, Gail Rudd. Survivors include, sons, Lamar Rudd and Jilma of Tallahassee, FL, Wendell Rudd and Cindy of Lynn Haven, FL, Chris Rudd of Douglas, GA; 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wendell Rudd officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm (CT) until service time. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, FL. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
