A beautiful life began for Ms. Hazel Mae Robinson on May 26, 1957 in Grand Ridge, Florida, born to Sylone Robinson and the late John Wesley Robinson, III.  She entered into eternal rest on Thurday, April 25th in Austin, Texas.  She was 61 years old.

She attended the public schools of Jackson County and was a member of the graduating Class of 1975.  She furthered her education at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Alabama State in Montgomery, Alabama. Hazel was a member of the Delta Sorority

Hazel accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Grand Ridge.  After moving to Austin, she united with Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  She worked for the City of Austin and was Head Supervisor of the Accounting Department.

 She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving and devoted family; son, Darrell Robinson of Binghamton, New York; daughter, Lillian Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri; fiance, Wayne Henderson of Austin, Texas; mother, Sylone Robinson of Grand Ridge, Florida; brothers, John W. Robinson, IV of Newman, Georgia and Carlos L. (Renee) Robinson of Phenix City, Alabama; favorite sisters, Lillie Dickey and Nora Smith both of Grand Ridge, Florida; god-sisters, Jillene (Terry) Pearson and Brandy (Leo) Grant both of Grand Ridge, Florida; god-brother, Alex (Bintu) Dudley, Jr. of Crawfordville, Florida; uncles, Rev. Roy L. (Gloria) Robinson, Jr. of Valdosta, Georgia, Rev. T.C. (Mary Helen) Smith of Grand Ridge, Florida and Willie (Emma Mae) Smith of Sanford, Florida; aunts, Florizell Smith, Uzell Lewis both of Grand Ridge, Florida, Mary Hearns of Greenwood, Florida and Hazel Robinson (Clarence) Grisham of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; special auntie, Josephine Smith of Grand Ridge, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held Saturday, May 4th at 11a.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Randy McMillan, Rev. T.C. Smith, Rev. Roy L. Robinson, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Nelson D. Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to  the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
