Gloria Wise “Cookie” Sprouse, 79, passed away on January 15, 2023 in Marianna after an extended illness. She was born September 10, 1943 in Elkhart Indiana.
Cookie was a homemaker most of her life and busied herself with her children and later her grandchildren. Upon the retirement of her husband, she enjoyed trips to the mountains and became quite the avid sports fan cheering on her Noles, the Greenbay Packers and the Tampa Bay Rays. She enjoyed sharing lunch and conversation with friends, and of course shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl “Bill” Sprouse; Mother, Gloria Wise; father, Johns Wise Jr.; brother, John W. Wise and brother, Jerry Wise.
Survivors include her son, Steve Sprouse (Tabitha); daughter, Meredith Dunaway (Shannon); brothers Craig and Eddie; grandchildren: Emily, Ella, Eva, Gabriel, Marleigh, Jacob and Ivy; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces/ nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Slade Alday officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Viewing will be from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm CST Thursday, January 19, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
