Glenda Southard Bowden, 83, of Marianna, Florida passed away January 30, 2020. Glenda was born in Ponce De Leon, Florida August 26, 1936 to the late Dexter Southard and Annette Southard. She was a retired educator with Calhoun County Public Schools.
Glenda loved the Great Smokies Mountains, traveling, her church and her friends. She enjoyed volunteer work at Chipola Area Habitat for Humanity in Marianna, FL. She was also a proud member of the DAR-Chipola Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dexter Southard and Annette Southard, her husband Floyd LaDon Bowden, her sons Johnny Bowden and Richard Neal Bowden. Survivors include her son Andrew LaDon Bowden of Marianna, Florida, and many family members.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date to be held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and St Andrews State Park, Panama City Beach, Florida.
