Gladys Page Kleinhans, 91, passed away on November 18, 2021, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.

Gladys was born September 4, 1930, in White Pond, North Carolina, to Bessie Page Williams and Isaac Franklin Williams. She was one of eight children.

After her parents died, Gladys lived with her sister, Annie Ellis, then moved to care for her Aunt Lucy Hufham. After the passing of her Aunt Lucy, she lived with her Aunt Sadie, Uncle Bob, and cousins, Keith and Ann, in Chadbourn, North Carolina. Her favorite place to spend time with her cousins was Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina.

Gladys later lived in Conway, South Carolina, where she (and Murray Jackson Jr.) raised their children and enjoyed the hobbies of breeding Boston Terriers and communicating on their HAM radio. She later moved with Bill Kleinhans to Marianna, Florida, where she was an avid runner and tennis player. She retired as an office manager of Chipola Aerotronics and continued her love for learning by taking extension courses at Chipola College. Her family will always cherish the memories of her singing, storytelling, and amazing cooking.

Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Otto Kleinhans; the father of her children, John Murray Jackson, Jr.; and her two sons, John Murray Jackson, III, and Freddy Kleinhans; and her six siblings: Annie Ellis, Berry Williams, Alice Luczaj, Lester Williams, Ruth Bonomo, and Jack Williams. Gladys is survived by her son, William Berry Jackson and his wife Linda, her daughter Susan Page Silver and her husband Chris, her grandchildren, John Murray Jackson, IV, Tanzi Paige Jackson, and Christopher William Jackson, and also her brother Isaac Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to the First United Methodist Church of Marianna, 2901 Caledonia Street, Marianna, Florida 32446. The family would also like to thank the staff at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Gladys for 3 ½ years.

Graveside funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 3720 Caverns Road, Marianna, Florida with Rev. Dr. Nathan Atwood officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
