On Friday, September 30, 2022, Freddie Paul Drummond loving Husband, Father and PaPa passed away at the age of 91.
Freddie was born June 2, 1931, in Cottondale, Florida to John Henry and Vicie Drummond. He was number 13 of 16 children. Freddie was an electrician with the City of Chattahoochee and Florida State Hospital retiring after 38 years of service.
Freddie loved fishing, hunting and was an avid Nascar fan. He also enjoyed raising quail for many years. He has 3 children: Pam Medley (Ralph); Rebecca Lanier (Jimmy) and Rick Drummond (Mark) and was preceded in death by a son named Gregory Paul Drummond. He married Helen on April 28, 1977, and gained 2 bonus children: Jack Rivers (Colleen) and Julie Melvin (Danny).
Freddie has 9 grandchildren: J.T. Medley (Andrea); Jodie Medley (Gabriel Negra); Daniel Medley; Dylan Rudd (Jasper); Mazie Rudd; Jordan Smith (Colby); Mason Melvin (Brooke); Hunter Rivers (Alexis); Wyatt Rivers (Rachel); 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Lovewood Freewill Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida on Tuesday October 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM CST. McAlpin Funeral Home in Sneads, Florida is entrusted with all arrangements.
