Fleshane Concelia Norton-Mathis entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 20th in Panama City. She was 51 years of age. She was born on October 17, 1972 to Cynthia Norton-Herring and the late Willie Fred Norton in Panama City, Florida.

Fleshane was raised in a Christian home and at the age of 10 she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, at Mt. Olive MBC, Champaign, IL. Her family relocated to Tucson, AZ in December 1985 and joined Grace Temple MBC. Fleshane sung in the Youth Choir, attended Sunday School classes, participated in youth plays, and was very active in the Youth Ministry. Graduated from Barbizon Modeling School, Tucson, AZ. She lived in Florida, Colorado, Illinois, and Arizona. She chose to return to Florida, the state she loved.
January 2017, Fleshane was united in holy matrimony to Andrew Mathis, Jr. In her free time she loved reading, playing video games, listening to music, and braiding hair.

Fleshane went home to be with the Lord on September 20, 2023, in Panama City, FL. She is preceded in death by her father Willie Fred Norton, Grandparents: Pastor Lureatha and Clinton McIntyre, Kate Norton and Ben Stebbins, George and Lucretia Herring, Sr., in-laws Lizzie and Andrew Mathis, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Loving and devoted husband Andrew Mathis, Jr. Parents: Paul and Cynthia Herring of Tucson, AZ. Great Aunt: Arleatha Alford of Panama City, FL. Five Children: Angela (Corie) of Tucson, AZ, Dominique of Germany, Dominic of Florida, Deandre of Florida, and Tyshawn of Sebring, FL. Three Grandchildren: Asia, Ezekiel, and Corie Jr. Three Loving Siblings: Doral (Elizabeth) of Detroit, MI, Naakia of Phoenix, AZ and Quasheem of Tucson, AZ and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, September 29th at 11a.m. at Battle Mortuary with Assistant Pastor Wade Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Memorial Cemetery in Vernon, FL with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Battle Mortuary of Panama City.
