The Florida Highway Patrol has issued a report on the one car accident that occurred at approximately 4:16 a.m. on 12/16/2021 at mile marker 147 on I-10 eastbound. The driver was a 30-year-old male from Tallahassee with a 34-year old female passenger from Haughton, Louisiana.
A sedan driven by a 30-yard old male from Tallahassee, Florida was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10(State Road 8) in the outside lane. The began to travel in a southeastern direction, traveling off the paved portion of the roadway, while rotating in a counterclockwise direction. The vehicle’s front right collided with a concrete pole. After initial impact, the vehicle continued rotating in a counterclockwise direction, at this time passenger one was fully ejected. The vehicle traveled in a southeastern direction on the southern grass shoulder. The vehicle came to final rest on the southern grass shoulder of Interstate 10 facing in a southern direction. Passenger one came to rest just east of vehicle on the southern grass shoulder of Interstate 10 lying face down. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
