Edward W. “Eddie” Coleman, age 95, of the Poplar Springs Community, Graceville, Florida, entered his Heavenly Home, Wednesday, March 29, 2023, following an extended illness.

He was born in Trumann, Arkansas on November 29, 1927, to the late Charley and Laura Adams Coleman. Mr. Eddie a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, retired from Publix following 30 years and in 1976 moved to Holmes County, Florida. He loved working outdoors and cutting grass until his health made him slow down at the age of 91. Mr. Eddie, a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church, truly loved the Lord and you would find him along with his beloved wife, Frankie, meeting and greeting everyone when the doors to the church was open. What better way to explain a father’s love than what his daughter Roxann said, “I never had any misconception about my Heavenly Father’s love, because my earthly Father led by example and loved me unconditionally.”

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Lloyd and two sisters Edith and Frances.

He is survived by his beloved wife Frankie Coleman, two daughters Roxann (Kemmie) Messer,

Karen (Joey) Hardy, four grandchildren Melonie (Jonathan) Meek, Jameson (Nancy) Messer, Evan (Kelli) Messer, Seth (Sara) Messer, ten great grandchildren Logan, Nathan, Jase, Judah, GiGi, Ray, Axle, Connor, Georgia, Ruby Ann, several nieces and nephews.

A Home-going service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Lampp officiating, burial to follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church, Saturday, 9 a.m. until time of the service.
