On April 20, 1927 Earnestine Roulhac entered this world and started on this journey called life. Her parents Mack Maner and Rosa Lee Johnson Maner were completely overjoyed at her arrival in Marianna, Florida.


Earnestine attended the local schools in Marianna before her family relocated to Panama City, Florida. In Panama City. She attended Rosenwald High School, where she studied hard and participated in various activities.


Earnestine worked at Bay Medical Center now Sacred Heart Hospital in the Housekeeping Department where she became the Supervisor. She worked at Bay Medical until her retirement some years later.


Earnestine, married the love of her life Ivry Roulhac and to their union were born 6 boys and 1 girl. Earnestine loved her children and was an excellent mother. She was always there for each of them and even as adults, she was still there to guide them down life’s pathways.


Early in life Earnestine gave her life to Christ and joined Greater Bethel AME Church. While at Greater Bethel, she served on the Usher Board. Her joy was being a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord and working for the glorification of God.


On Sunday, May 29, 2022, God summoned his angels to bring her home and without delay, she answered God’s call, and now upon the further shore hands the voyager at last. Earth to earth and dust to dust calmly now the words we say. Left behind, we wait in trust for the resurrection day. Father to thy gracious keeping, leave we now thy servant sleeping.…and so, it is, family and friends unite in deep sympathy and love on such a grave loss. Earnestine is preceded in death by her husband Ivry Roulhac and son Larry Donell Roulhac.


A public viewing will be held Friday, June 10th from 4-7 at Battle Mortuary Chapel.
Earnestine leaves to cherish her very fond and loving memories, her sister, Christine Sheffield, daughters, Ira Jean Roulhac Fisher (Fred), Joyce Anthony (Harold), sons, Jerome (Joyce), Rickey, Barnett, Anthony, and Christopher; two loving cousins, Rosella Wilson, and Earnest Bowden; and a host of nieces, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren great grandchildren, loving friends and acquaintances; and a loving son-in-law Fredrick Fisher.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, June 11th at 2:00p.m. at Greater Bethel AME Church with Pastor Darryl Hooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
