Dorothy N. Franklin, age 76, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence.
Dorothy was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 29, 1945 to the late Perry Benjamin and Laura Tye. She enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, painting, crocheting and above all, spending time with her family. Dorothy loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Cypress Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Earl; brother, James Kirkland; sisters, Elizabeth Strange, Betty Roberts, and Mary Mears.
Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Lillie Walters and husband, Gene of Marianna, FL; Laura Kirkland of Sneads, FL; and special friend, Bryan Hunt of Grand Ridge, FL.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be 2 P.M. Monday, January 10, 2022 at Cypress Community Church With Reverends Chris Franklin and Melinda Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Carpenter Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
