Dorothy Jean Bell


Mrs. Dorothy Jean Bell affectionately known as “Ms. Dot” of Marianna, Florida entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the home of her daughter, Margena Bell Myrick.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by Chipola College for 35 years where she impacted the lives of those she came in contact with. To know her was simply to love her.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:30 AM from the sanctuary of the Second West Missionary Baptist Association located at 3110 Herring Avenue, Marianna, Florida 32448 with Pastor Eric Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bell will lie in repose at the church from 10:30 AM until time for the service.
Memorial donations may be made in loving memory of Ms. Dot to the Chipola College Foundation for “The Village Scholarship”.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Ms. Dot leaves to cherish a lifetime of lasting and loving memories, a devoted family:
Daughter: Margena Bell Myrick of Marianna, Florida
Two Sons: Leo Bell, Jr. of Marianna, Florida; and Robert Bell of Valdosta, Georgia
Two Grandsons: Ron Myrick of Dothan, Alabama; and Daunta Bell of Atlanta, Georgia
Three Granddaughters: Noreaka Bell of Tallahassee, Florida; Marvetta Bellamy and Latoya Baker both of Marianna, Florida
Three Sisters: Joan Nabors (Eddie), Geraldine Wynn, and Lillie Robinson (Walter)
Two Aunts: Emma Peterson of Marianna, Florida; and Rosetta Rhynes of Atlantic City, New Jersey
Ten Great Grandchildren
And many other grief-stricken family and friends.
