Dennis Eugene Adams, known to all as Dennis, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, in Sneads, Florida. Born on November 5, 1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Dennis lived a life full of love, selflessness, and devotion to his family and community.

Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Camden County High School in Kingsland, Georgia. He joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in 1974, dedicating 47 years of his life to the trade before retiring in 2021. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were admired by all who knew him.

In 1980, Dennis married the love of his life, Diane Lombard Adams. Together, they started their family in 1984, raising two sons, Dennis Patrick Adams (Casey) and Tony Adams (Jennifer). Dennis was a devoted father and grandfather, his love for his family was evident in everything he did.

Dennis was a man of faith, a dedicated member of the Sneads Assembly of God Church in Sneads, Florida. His Christian values were reflected in his actions and his way of life. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, traveling, fishing, and hunting. A big NASCAR fan, Dennis loved the thrill of the race. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years, having been a Boy Scout himself, and instilled in his sons and grandchildren the values of honesty, respect, and love for nature.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane L. Adams; his sons, Dennis Patrick Adams (Casey) and Tony Adams (Jennifer); his daughters, Wendy Williams and Tracy Mock; his brothers, Joe Adams of Orlando, Florida, and Robert “Bob” Adams (Felicia) of Grand Ridge, Florida; his grandchildren, AJ Adams and Dennis Adams Jr.; his nieces and nephew, Ginny Adams Harrell, Kate Adams Harris (Daryl), and B.J. Adams (Tiffany) of Grand Ridge, FL; and his great-nieces and nephews, Rayleigh Carter, Pressley Harrell, Beau Harrell, Georgia Adams, Gunnar Adams, and Easton Harris. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Adams.

In the words of Helen Keller, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” Dennis lived these words, touching the hearts of all who knew him with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Honoring Dennis’s wishes no services are planned and interment will be private.
