Deborah “Debbie” Jenkins, 73, of Graceville passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Hartford Healthcare following an extended illness.
Debbie was born in Graceville on March 23, 1949, to the late Neal and Hazel Carter Register. On March 2, 1966, Debbie married the love of her life and was blessed with two loving children, Lisa and Eric. After retiring from Vanity Fair, she has enjoyed cooking for family, supporting the grandchildren in their many activities and seeing her children succeed. Debbie was a member of Harvest Church in Dothan, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Carolyn Carter.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years John Wesley Jenkins, one daughter Lisa Ann Williams (Tommy), one son John Eric Jenkins (Kelley), two granddaughters Carly Ann Dykes (Hillary), Sydney Michelle Jenkins, one great granddaughter Landry Helen Dykes, one brother Dale Carter (Judy) and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Her Life will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 19. 2023 at Springhill United Methodist with Pastor Keith Frith officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Family received friends 1:30 until time of the service.
Flowers will be accepted or for those wishing memorials can be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Dothan, Alabama or Partners for Pets in Marianna, Florida.
