David Goff of Sneads, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

David was born on December 18, 1966, in Perry, FL to Jesse Dallas Goff and Christine Morgan Goff. He was a longtime resident of Jackson County.

David was a 1984 graduate of Taylor County High School and after high school he went to work at Tri-County Electric. In 1990, he then worked for Florida Power, which later became Duke Energy. In 1993, he married the love of his life Lynn Register Goff and together raised three sons. David was a Master Mason and member of Harmony Masonic

Lodge No. 3 in Marianna, FL.

David has been a Journeyman Lineman since 1994, where he has impacted more lives than you can count. Whether that was from his positions in the union, the safety council, or as a lead lineman, he has always made such a positive impact in the lineman industry.

David always valued the importance of safety because he cherished the brotherhood around him. He always fought for what was right and never backed down.

He loved his family dearly, as well as his church and work families. David was a man of great faith and a dedicated member of United Believers Worship Center in Grand Ridge, FL. He was an avid outdoorsman who was especially passionate about turkey hunting. He was also an excellent problem solver and could bring any idea to life. David could hold your attention with his intriguing stories from all his adventures.

He spent countless hours volunteering and serving those around him. Whether it be cooking for others, or helping with the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch, Mr. Goff always found ways to be a light in his community. He especially loved the honor of barbequing for the Sneads High School football team and constructing the pirate ship that now sits at Citizens Field.

Finally, Mr. David Goff was a Godly man who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He led his family with integrity, honesty, hard work and most importantly, love.

David is survived by his wife Lynn Register Goff; three sons, Troy Goff and his wife Randilynn of Crawfordville, FL, Dallas Goff and his wife Sara of Tarpon Springs, FL, Austin Goff and his wife McKenzie of Grand Ridge, FL; his mother, Christine Goff; his sister, Bernadine Goff Stanaland of Pace, FL; his brother, Don Goff of Perry, FL; three grandchildren, Ariana Goff, Gabriel Goff and Carter Goff; as well as many loved nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

David was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Dallas Goff and a brother-in-law, Dawson Stanaland.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM Central Time at United Believers Worship Center in Grand Ridge, FL with Rev. Kelvin Johnson officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at 11:00 AM Central Time. Interment will follow at Dykes Cemetery.
