On Sunday, March 21, 2021, the third-born son of Wesley F Wasson Sr. and Judith Annette Tyre was welcomed into the loving arms of our heavenly Father at the age of 58.

Darryl Dean Wasson was larger than life, invincible, and a narrator of life stories bounded by borrowed time on earth. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Darryl’s laughter will remain a continuous echo in the lives of many. His legacy is left with his daughters; Cansas Wasson (Adam), Hailey Wasson, Ally Roche (Cecil), and Emily Curtright.  Brothers; Wesley Wasson Jr. and Thomas Wasson (Tonya). Sisters; Michele Lewis (Steve) and Stacey Phillips. Nieces and nephews; Lance Wasson (Angel), Lucas Wasson (Shelby), Kaleigh Wasson, Kristin Martin (Blake), John Richard (AshLee), Jessica Nicholson (Nick), Brooke Yohn (Micky), Cadence Phillips, Samantha Wasson, and Lane Wasson. Grandchildren; Hayden, Carson, Ayden, Gabriel, Curtis, Whitley, Grayson, Tucker, Clay, and Henley. He will also be deeply missed by 20 great-nieces and great-nephews and his love Gerri Johnson.

Darryl was a retired Army veteran, who dedicated his life to his country.

Services will begin Thursday afternoon with visitation from 6 pm – 8 pm at Brown’s Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held at First Baptist Church on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11 am.  Interment to follow at Bonnett Pond Cemetery in Chipley, FL.
