Darryl Eugene Basford, age 60, of Sneads, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in St. Augustine, Florida. Darryl was born in Marianna, Florida on August 27, 1961 and had lived in Calhoun County most of his life. He worked as a carpenter in the construction business. Darryl enjoyed music, fishing, gardening, tinkering, woodworking, fixing things and hunting for arrowheads. Darryl was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Louise (Pitts) Basford, sister, Donna Basford, two brothers, Glenn Basford and Ricky Basford.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Faircloth officiating. Interment will follow in Dykes Cemetery in Grand Ridge, FL. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 1:00 pm (CDT) until service time at 2:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
