Darita Maddox Folsom passed through the pearly gates on August 17, 2021 with her dancing shoes in one hand and her fishing pole in the other. She was born in Panama City, FL, on December 28, 1933 to Fenton Maddox and Edythe Cummings Maddox.

While Darita was famous for her biscuit making ability, she was a woman of many talents including self-made chef, architect extraordinaire, master farmer, painter, accomplished seamstress, and she had the innate knack for making everyone she met feel special and loved.

Darita was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leon “Bud” Folsom. We know she is happy to be fishing and dancing again with her beloved.

She is survived by three children, June Ferris (Bill), Tim Folsom (Lisa), and Alan “Redman” Folsom (Shirley). She was also the proud grandma, granny, and nanny to seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
