Daniel Thomas “Danny” Wilkinson, 74, of Sneads, Florida was born on March 26, 1946 in Houston County, Alabama to James Daniel and Essie Fears Wilkinson. Danny entered the presence of the angels and gained his wings on October 2, 2020. He was a God-fearing man who loved God and Country and was of the Pentecostal Faith. You could often find him reading and studying his Bible. Danny enjoyed vegetable gardening and sharing his crops with family and friends. He was a gunsmith and an avid gun collector. Danny loved spending time with his family especially during the holidays and for special occasions. He never met a stranger. Danny had a passion for life and learning and was always there to brighten the lives of others. Danny will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but never forgotten.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his precious granddaughter, Maggie Aaron.
Survivors include his two sons, Tony Wilkinson (Tina) of Chattahoochee, FL and Patrick Wilkinson (Reta) of Sneads, FL; seven grandchildren, Cristina Olivia, Rebecca, Mikaela, Gage, James, Lauren, Emily; ten great grandchildren and two on the way; a special friend, Peggy Mercer as well as two faithful canine companions, Rose and Abbi.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM Central Time at United Believers Worship Center in Grand Ridge, FL with Rev. Kelvin Johnson officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Dykes Cemetery.
