Sandy Martin, Jackson County Health Department Director gave an update of the COVID numbers as of the morning of July 9, 2021.
Since March 01, 2020, there have been a total of 6,488 cases, with 50 new cases reported from July 2 – July 8, 2021. The positivity rate is now 9.3%.
There have been a total of 14,836 people vaccinated with 108 vaccinated the week of July 2 through July 8, 2021.
There are now 12 people hospitalized with three on a ventilator.
Vaccinations are given at the Jackson County Health Department, CVS, WalMart and Winn Dixie where you may call or walk in for appointments.
