Sandy Martin, Jackson County Health Department Director gave an update of the COVID numbers as of the morning of July 23, 2021.
Numbers are continuing to increase as they have in recent weeks. There are 244 current cases being monitored.
For the week of 7/16/2021-7/22/2021, 37% of age 12+ have been vaccinated with a current positivity rate of 13.9%.
There were 17 people hospitalized with one of those on a ventilator.
Jackson County has recorded 168 deaths.
Vaccinations are given at the Jackson County Health Department, CVS, Walmart and Winn Dixie where you may call or walk in for appointments.
