Mark Skinner | TIMES - Graceville’s Joell Green tries for two against the Hornets.

The Graceville Tigers hosted the Cottondale Hornets last week and proved not to be the kindest of hosts as they took a 54-46 win over their
visitors.
Graceville took a commanding 22-8 lead after one quarter of play before Cottondale found their rhythm offensively to take the second quarter 15-11. At the half, it was 10-point lead for the home team Tigers 33-23. The third quarter went back to the home team 12-10 but it was the Hornets not laying down quietly in the fourth, winning it 13-9. It wasn’t enough for a comeback win but narrowed the deficit to eight
points.
Leading the Hornets on the night was Isaac Wooden with 18 huge points, followed by Q. Henderson in double digits with 10 points. Posting nine points was Michael Clemmons.
Isaac Wooden also led in rebounds with five and led with three assists. Corey Shores pulled down four rebounds and two assists on the night.
